The following-named officers and enlisted men will accompany the major-general commanding the corps to Washington to witness the presentation to the War Department of the colors surrendered by Lee's army: Col. J. H. Potter, chief of staff; Lieut. Col. Edward Moale, assistant adjutant-general; Maj. A. Henry Embler, aide.de-camp; Capt. William E. Potter, aide-de-camp; Second Lieut. J. M. Curtis, Twelfth West Virginia Volunteers; Sergt. Robert J. Gardner, Company K, Thirty-fourth Massachusetts Volunteers; Corpl. Charles A. Hunter, Company E, Thirty-fourth Massachusetts Volunteers; Corpl. Freeman C. Thompson, Company F, One hundred and sixteenth Ohio Volunteers; Private Joseph Van Matre, Company G, One hundred and sixteenth Ohio Volunteers; Sergt. Thomas McGraw, Company B, Twenty-third Illinois Volunteers; Corpl. Patrick Highland, Company D, Twenty-third Illinois Volunteers; Corpl. A. O. Apple, Company I, Twelfth West Virginia Volunteers; Private Joseph McCauslin, Company D, Twelfth West Virginia Volunteers; Private George H. Hill, Company B, Second New Hampshire Volunteers; Private Henry Steele, Company B, Eighth Connecticut Volunteers. They will report prepared for journey at these headquarters promptly at 7.30 a.m. to-morrow. Corpl. Abner P. Allen, Company K, Thirty-ninth Illinois Volunteers; Corpl. John Kane, Company K, One hundredth New York Volunteers; Sergt. Allen Tucker, Company F, Tenth Connecticut Volunteers; Color Sergt. George McKee, Eighty-ninth New York Volunteers, and Sergt. James Howard, Company K, One hundred and fifty-eighth New York Volunteers. These men will report prepared for the journey at Rocketts Landing promptly at 8.30 a.m. to-morrow.
